What is the difference between a curly cut and a traditional haircut?
Curly cuts are done by stylists with additional training on how to cut and style curly hair. A curly cut is beneficial for anyone with wavy/curly hair, who likes to air dry or diffuse their hair. For curly cuts we cut the hair dry, and then wash/condition, and style your hair curly. If you typically wear your hair straight, we would suggest a traditional haircut. We will wash your hair first, and then cut, and blow-dry.
Do you offer men’s cuts AND kids cuts?
Yes we do! We just don’t price our cuts based on gender or age, instead on hair length and needs. We do not have specific “men’s pricing” or “kid’s pricing”.
What color line and hair products to you use?
We use AVEDA color and hair products, as well as DevaCurl hair products.
Parking?
We suggest parking in the Marsh Street parking structure. It is the most cost-effective and you won’t have to worry about “feeding the meter” during a longer appointment. We also have metered parking surrounding the salon downtown, and free street parking 3 blocks up Garden Street!
do I have to see the same stylist every time?
We work as a team at Salon62! You can see the same stylist every appointment, or see someone different each time. This is totally up to you! You will never hurt a stylist’s feelings if you want to try someone else out at the salon, we are just happy you are here.
